Glen Gonzalez Appointed to board of Contemporary Arts Museum Houston

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Tierra Companies (www.tierracos.com), a leader in midstream energy services in Central Texas and a trusted partner to producers, refiners and commercial end-users within the Eagle Ford Shale, today announced that its CEO, Glen Gonzalez, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH).

The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston’s Director Bill Arning welcomes Gonzalez to the Board saying, “I think Glen’s passion for art and the cultural life of Houston will be a great asset for CAMH as we approach our 65th year as Houston’s first stop for contemporary art.”

“I am extremely delighted to join the Board of Trustees at the CAMH and help further the organization’s mission and programs,” said Gonzalez. “As an avid lover of contemporary art, I am proud that an institution of such high caliber serves as Houston’s leading destination to experience innovative art and provides Houstonians with a place to actively engage in all that it offers.”

Gonzalez has been in the energy industry for more than ten years. Prior to founding The Tierra Companies, Gonzalez was CEO of AGE Refining and AGE Transportation from 2002 until July 2010. At AGE, Gonzalez oversaw operations, personnel management and overall profitability of the business. Gonzalez managed AGE through its most profitable and growth-oriented period as well as through challenging times including its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in February 2010. In 2002, AGE’s refinery processed a ratable 8,500 barrels per day; in 2010 the refinery processed a ratable 14,500 bpd, while subsequently growing annual EBITDA from $2 million to $30 million over the same time period. In 2006, Gonzalez purchased the Tierra Pipeline assets, and in 2010, he formally separated from AGE Refining to spearhead The Tierra Companies’ midstream and marketing opportunities within the Eagle Ford Shale.
